@escapefrommelos Making these kinds of comments is so utterly classless and cruel. These are children. Have some self respect and think about the type of person you want to be.
@TheXerxesHQ The big thing I feel is missing is the wonder and excitement of that โgoing to Hogwartsโ fantasy. The old movies leaned into it because the audience was young. Now that same audience has grown into older millennials, and thatโs who this series feels like itโs catering to...
@vers_laLune Hot take: Rogue One was average. Should have been 20 minutes shorter. People only like it for the final battle and Vaders entrance imo. Like does anyone remember the weird truth telling creature? What was that about??
@dfw_ella_ That misses the point of Harry as a hero. His heroism was never about how many villains he could solo. Itโs mythic. He wins through love, loyalty, sacrifice and those he inspires. Needing his friends isnโt a weakness. Itโs the whole point, and the opposite of Voldemort.
@Bridgetrso Nah, Harry staying dead misses the point. The Forest is the death and rebirth of the heroโs journey. Harry expects to die, so surviving doesnโt cheapen his sacrifice. Voldemort spends his life running from death. Harry wins because he accepts it, faces it, and returns changed
@the_Bradster007 The only thing that annoys me is the aspect ratio. It's like the only Marvel movie filmed in 1.85:1
Joss Whedon was more accustomed to TV directing. Wish he went cinematic tho
@Luminouslead If any part of the story needs to be changed because of the ethnicity of the actor they've cast, it shouldn't be cast that way at all. You telling me they're gonna show James hanging him from a tree? Highly doubt
@ncfootprqv Dumbledore has always been whimsical and slightly eccentric. this is the guy who randomly says โnitwit! blubber! Oddment! Tweak!โ at the feast. I think Lithgow is leaning into that early book version. Thereโs plenty of room for him to get darker and more imposing later
