I'm working on Hartmann's 1542 edition of Peckham's Perspectiva communis, and have just come across this lovely passage about Pirckheimer (Grafton 1998).

A productive day at the ÖNB in Vienna! Among other codices, I examined a 16th-century copy of Alhacen's De aspectibus that seems to preserve a set of marginal glosses shared with much earlier commentaries to Alhacen.

@JanaMynarova Samozřejmě jsou to lehce odlišné věci: (a) faktická dostupnost výsledků výzkumu pro čtenáře (na to preprint/postprint v repozitáři stačí) a (b) vykazatelnost takového výsledku jako publikace v OA pro poskytovatele.

@JanaMynarova Publikovat preprint (někdy lze i postprint) článku v repozitáři? Publikovat v časopisech, které jsou po uplynutí embarga přístupné na JSTORu? Nebo v časopisech s diamond OA? Přijde mi, že i bez peněz na OA se dá publikovat ve slušných časopisech, byť to záleží na velikosti oboru.
