@JoyHarperGA Fascinating. Appletreewick is a gorgeous little village and the Craven Arms is so picturesque. I hope you enjoy your visit to the ancestral homeland!
I’m naming a fave pub as part of #7DayPubChallenge Pub 1 is my local when I visit the ancestral homeland. Craven Arms, Appletreewick is a perfect Yorks Dales pub from Hollywood Central Casting. Well kept cask ales (inc Old Peculiar from wood). Dog heaven. https://t.co/heveNIWJO8
Hello drinks brands with an non-alc product
The World Alcohol Free Awards 2026 now open for entries. Categories are beer, wine. cider, mead, spiritless spirits, liqueurs, kombucha, sparkling tea & more. Judges come from several countries, & city states such as Brighton (me).
I’ve developed a hangover prevention method which means you can still have alcohol. I've written up the method as an online course so you'll learn how to prevent a hangover in the first place.
Click the Linktree in my bio. It is called Hangover Prevention Method Course.
the mouth-puckering, sharp acidity of a lambic; the clean and dry palate of a highly attenuated traditional IPA. Thank you Trigeminal nerves! The link to the piece is in the Linktree in my bio above. It is called Taste Sensation. 3/3
A few months ago I wrote a piece on my Substack about how important the trigeminal nerve is in the sensory experience of eating and drinking. Just remembered I forgot to post it on social media.
Yes, it sounds nerdy and technical but I've written it in a non-technical way. 1/3
I've focused on beer. Thanks to the trigeminal nerves we register the creamy texture of nitro stout; the super-refreshment & bite of a carbonated pale lager on a scorching day; the mouthcoating full-bodied viscosity of a barley wine; 2/3
Did you know?
The Beer Exchange in Qingdao works like a stock market: the more people buy a certain beer, the higher its price goes. On the other hand, beers that aren't being purchased will gradually drop in price.
I've had a lovely surprise to learn that I have been shortlisted in three categories in the inaugural @womeninbeeruk awards.
Entrepreneur of the Year
Industry Champion of the Year
Industry Icon
Anyway, must dash, I'm off to bribe the judges.
@cidercask Maybe they'll be intrigued and do a bit of research. Or they could buy my soon to be published book 'Cider Knowledge Box' and learn all the basics of cider!
Fab marketing from @cornishorchards - 'Uncover The Truth About Cider'. A lie detector test compares Cornish Orchards (made from freshly pressed apple juice) to mainstream brands from apple juice concentrate with added aroma, flavour and other additives.
