Today the Endangered Species Act is 50 years old. The endangered black-footed ferret has all the makings of a great telenovela: they were declared extinct, came back from the dead, and the species' greatest hope is a female created by cloning skin cells cryopreserved decades ago.
Our devoted shelter manager, Gabby, dedicated hours and hours of her personal time to nurse these puppies back to health. They found their forever home today. 😍❤️
Excited but a little nervous (honestly) about sharing my perspective on how I made it back to lab after my daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. Shout outs to @nationwidekids who provided her life-saving treatments and to @Pelotonia & @theABTA who supported me during that time.
Fostering kittens helps: 1) prepare and train them for life with their future family, 2) keep them healthy by decreasing their stress levels, and 3) frees up cages for older cats that are surrendered to the shelter. Check out @FairHumane to apply as foster parents!
@KMFollett@bbcmaestro You create characters that I’m either in love with or hate with a passion. How do you know what details of their lives to share with the reader to make us feel so strongly for them?
Emery had a great time supporting @nationwidekids tonight by representing leukemia survivors @KornFerryTour. Thanks to @mattmccarty21 for the awesome pro tips and making her feel special.
