Delighted to share that I've been appointed as the Associate Editor of _Music Analysis_, a journal that has been hugely influential to my work. Big shoes to fill, @venn_ed, but I look forward to the challenge and to continued work together. https://t.co/D2t3nbBG5y @SocMusAnalysis

Huge congratulations, Matthew and Christine, on this wonderful volume! I'm delighted to have a chapter in this alongside so many leading Schubertians. What a glorious time that was in Tübingen, where it all began.
Job alert! I'm looking for a #postdoctoral researcher to join my team on my #UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship project: The Cultural Legacies of the British #Empire: Classical #Music's Colonial History (1750-1900). The postdoc will research music-making in colonial #India.
Incredibly touching tribute to Phil Tagg by his wonderful daughter, Mia, and so many int. colleagues to end the day. It’s clear that he influenced so many people, not only through his work and professional collegiality, but also by his inestimable kindness & friendship. RIP.
A great start to the IPM-IPM-SMA Symposium on Popular Music Theory & Analysis in sunny Liverpool! Enjoying feeling like an interloper (and talking to some great scholars about their earlier work on nineteenth-century music… ;-)). @SocMusAnalysis
@drianpace @SocMusAnalysis Excellent news! So well-deserved! This also gives me the opportunity to share that, as Pascall Medal winner, RG will be invited as the keynote speaker for the @SocMusAnalysis Conference hosted by @OfficialUoM@UoMMusic next July! Watch this space. #MancMAC25
Congratulations to the recent @hyland_lab graduates, Sadia Biswas (MSci Biochemistry, first class honours) and Dr. Veronika Toth, PhD Molecular Parasitology.
I’m so proud of both of you.
….and thank you Sadia for the awesome mushroom pin!
@QUBbioscience
@BarbaraEichner @Komaniecki_R Ha! Indeed! In our household, the line is sung by our children as ‘the pasta’s in the hedge’ and, frankly, I’m never going to correct them.
Applications are invited for a temporary, Fixed term, 3 years post of a Teaching Fellow in Music Theory and Performance within UCD School of Music.

This is so sad. A wonderful scholar, advocate for music education, and @OfficialUoM alumnus. I was looking forward to hearing him speak at the @SocMusAnalysis Pop Music Analysis Summer School next month. Condolences to his family and all who knew him.
Popular music studies titan Philip Tagg passed away peacefully yesterday. I have taught his material for years and it's been nice hearing colleagues remember him. RIP
@brisunimusic
@Komaniecki_R I was sorry to miss this (and not *just* to exchange parenting anecdotes in person). Hope it was enjoyable (and come to Manchester next time).
A huge thank you to Rajan Lal and all at Cambridge @CamUniMusic for a wonderful colloquium last evening and for invigorating engagement with my work! Very happy to be invited to speak and always a pleasure to be back in West Road. I think I’ll stop talking about #Chopin for now!
This is an incredibly important and potentially very helpful event that anyone working in Music in Ireland should attend! @JohnHOFlynn: are there any plans to make it a hybrid event or to record the proceedings?
Thank you, @UCDSchoolMusic . I’m very much looking forward to giving this lecture and to being back in J307! The whole Music Research Seminar Spring Series looks fantastic.
