@d_demelis @CMHC_ca As a developer, with the cost of construction high(though starting to come down), high interest rates, does it make sense to build these?
@RE_MarketWatch@douglasdowney Have a client in same position, tenant stopped paying in April. Still waiting for a hearing from LTB. It's becoming more common as lotnof tenants realize they can live rent free for 6+ months. LTB needs to be revamped, it's a disaster for both tenants and landlords.
@CPost2020@REWoman @CEnache_ Good point, while there is no arguing about contract law. Unless your client has time and money to spend on this, better work it out amicably. Been down that road before, it's stressful for the client and takes months to resolve. Even with a good lawyer.
@StephenPunwasi When I visited China, I was awestruck at their speed and brutal efficiency. Here at home, tell my why the same stretch of 401 needs repairs every single yr?? Other places in the world don't have harsh weather?
@FrankfortReport You would still need permits, inspections etc. But I assume you would not need to worry about zoning. Pretty sure they will still have setbacks that you need to adhere to.
@danielfoch Seeing a bunch of developers reaching out to sell their projects. Last year it was impossible to get anything! This will probably get worse.
