@BenjiNaesen Did you see that there was almost 10 mins with crazy motorpacing for the Van der Breggen group, while the other group didn’t have a motor in front. The gap went from 1.40-1.10, which was also because Dickson was pacing quite well, before they started looking at each other again.
@BenjiNaesen@User14959104 He was never getting on the podium anyway, they would have max had 3 min at the foot and with the energy Gee already spent throughout the stage, he wouldn’t have been able to hold 3 mins on such a steep climb.
@BenjiNaesen Instead of attacking Gigante and PFP, FDJ is sprinting for QOM points and defending Muzic and Labous top 10 GC places because AvdB is up the road.
@BenjiNaesen Not really he was sick just before the giro. He overperformed (massively) in stage 1 yesterday, just like he overpeformed in stage 1 of the Tour last year with his 3rd place that day.
@BenjiNaesen Time trials are often pretty good indicators to a rider’s shape. If he does a bad one today, Red Bull should go crazy on stage 3’s final climb!
@cycloben2 In an interview with Sporza before stage 14(the stage after the crash) Van Gils blamed Capiot. About the crash he said something like: “maybe he saw a good looking lady and that’s why he caused the crash”. Which is a really weird thing to say, especially after a colleague crashed
@Tratnikstan It is still selective enough for Pogacar to ride away. Playing numbers against Slovenia will not make the difference as it is hard enough for Pogacar.
@GoldblueBirdie I think Sepp should have been in the break, he’s behind Sivakov in the GC and he has to get in these kinda breakaways if he wants to get back in GC.
