Elon just created 4,400 millionaires in a single day.

400 of them are now worth over $100 million.

These aren't VCs. They're SpaceX employees, and the list includes welders, technicians, and cafeteria staff, because for two decades the company paid every level of the workforce in stock instead of higher salaries.

Juan Hernandez immigrated from Mexico and took a $28 an hour contractor welding job in 2015. He says he didn't even know what SpaceX was. The company gave him a $10,000 equity grant and let him buy more shares through payroll deductions. That stake is now worth $880,000.

Trevor Hise's parents wanted him to take a stable job at General Electric. He picked SpaceX instead, stayed 12 years, and accumulated over 100,000 shares. At the $135 listing price that's $13.5 million. He's 37 and semiretired. His words: "The magnitude of this has been ridiculous."

The most telling detail came before the listing. Over 100 employees quietly banded together and negotiated a group wealth management deal covering up to $5 billion, because none of them had ever needed a wealth manager before.

Software IPOs have minted millionaires for 30 years. This is the first one where the money went to the factory floor.

Over the course of the last several weeks I have found myself wishing I could turn on my radio in the #pnw between 12 and 3 weekdays and listen to the @DoriMonsonShow .
We miss his energy and insight as he was the O.G. #Watchdog for politics in Washington state. He always spent hours preparing and would sacrifice sleep to keep up to date on the latest coming out of our communities and from Olympia. His voice is greatly missed. I remember listening to @ProducerNicoleT and @BrandiKruse along with Dori, going round and round, doing what they do best... #Watchdoggin

Process ! Democratic (Representative) process. I thought you'd like that ? Maybe a voter's resolution on the ballot (this State has).. I grew up with ST/DLST which may have started in the '70's [Nixon](farmers, commuters]. Next you'll want to be like China and have only one 1 time zone across the country ! jeeeeze. UK/Europe, so I guess less 'free speech' there. I commented on their previous X-files video: Dear Editor Tim: I was going to compliment you on your courage to give ST SF Academy a positive, "Ready Room" like review, but then you turned off the comments. Wow. Wow. That's "rich". :-( So, I thought you all had "balls" but they have clearly pulled up into your scrotum. Take it like a man and turn on the comments. Your comments about the negative reviews were overly dismissive. I'm hearing recently that the show is more popular in Europe (+UK?). But I guess free speech doesn't exist there to the extent that it does in the USA or on X. [ and it kind of goes against the Star Trek I grew up with IDIC, Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations"] I guess that your Trek believes it is right and squashes the dissent or critical reviews.
