Good to press for more information, but the press and the public need to insist on more information from this city administration on everything and not let the city control info 1 subject at a time. Keep pressing @komonews and others ... [all this when the Police chief asks for info from the public on the shooting ...]
@BrandiKruse SeaCenter shooting -- State/City control of information; Totalitarianism. Propaganda. City control of Speech. News media & the public need to keep probing and demanding more information and transparency.
@choeshow yeah, kind of a drag we had to wait after 9:45 or 11 PM for a statement, because the Mayor, Governor, and district US Rep. wasn't there timely .... ๐ค
@kfc#kfcEastKentWa always quick service, so far, to have Tues $10 special ready with no or little wait ! ๐ Great chicken, could spend less at grocery, but KFC is worth it !
Congratulations @ElonMusk.
Thanks to SpaceX's IPO, he's the first Trillionaire.
He didn't TAKE money from anyone. He CREATED wealth.
He launched satellites that connect even the poorest, most remote parts of the world.
Our world needs more MAKERS like Musk; fewer TAKERS like:
Elon just created 4,400 millionaires in a single day.
400 of them are now worth over $100 million.
These aren't VCs. They're SpaceX employees, and the list includes welders, technicians, and cafeteria staff, because for two decades the company paid every level of the workforce in stock instead of higher salaries.
Juan Hernandez immigrated from Mexico and took a $28 an hour contractor welding job in 2015. He says he didn't even know what SpaceX was. The company gave him a $10,000 equity grant and let him buy more shares through payroll deductions. That stake is now worth $880,000.
Trevor Hise's parents wanted him to take a stable job at General Electric. He picked SpaceX instead, stayed 12 years, and accumulated over 100,000 shares. At the $135 listing price that's $13.5 million. He's 37 and semiretired. His words: "The magnitude of this has been ridiculous."
The most telling detail came before the listing. Over 100 employees quietly banded together and negotiated a group wealth management deal covering up to $5 billion, because none of them had ever needed a wealth manager before.
Software IPOs have minted millionaires for 30 years. This is the first one where the money went to the factory floor.
Chase, you don't look Taiwanese. Just keep the status quo. I love Taiwan and its people. ๐บ๐ธ As long as PRC China doesn't attack and ROC Taiwan doesn't claim Independence the status quo will continue. -- Unless the EU or UK or Japan or Australia or Canada or India or any other country wants to commit their blood and treasure to defend Taiwanese Independence.
Drug addicts are victims of a frictionless system: cheap drugs on demand, barrier-free housing, and a massive โHomeless Inc.โ industry profiting from their misery.
20,000 Washingtonians dead from overdose in just 10 years, yet elected officials still call this an โaffordability and housing supplyโ crisis.
Totally insane.
@foreignersinTW lazy woman postal workers can't sell me a blank post card when I bought one here yesterday. Post is dying. Good thing you have banking and mortgages. ๐
A Seattle judge said we couldn't show the faces of the 33 Antifa & anti-Israel radicals who caused over $1 million in damage to the brand new engineering building at UW in May.
So here are their faces & names: Tayler Hart, Max Rulff, Zachary Wallaced-Wells, Jade Wu, Jessica Schutz, Luisa Ortega Subdiaz, Ginger Newberry, Kimaya Mahajan, Gina Liu, Lea Keating, Akira Junyaprusert, Anna Hattle, Julia Fraczek, Cade Jackson, Jonas Piper, Ty Park, Lucy Zern, Tasbeet Iman, Ricardo Colon-Galvez, Roberta Collison, Ella Tunduwani, Zainab Chattha, Riley Centerwall, Catherine Brown, Brett Anton, Claire Berger, Yasmin Ahmed, Yafate Yared, Geneveve Konijisky, Finn Brown, Bailey Keen, Lucas Nichols-Mcauslan and Sam Sueoka.
It was all a matter of public record long before the judge made the ruling. KOMO News made this handy collage. Please share
Over the course of the last several weeks I have found myself wishing I could turn on my radio in the #pnw between 12 and 3 weekdays and listen to the @DoriMonsonShow .
We miss his energy and insight as he was the O.G. #Watchdog for politics in Washington state. He always spent hours preparing and would sacrifice sleep to keep up to date on the latest coming out of our communities and from Olympia. His voice is greatly missed. I remember listening to @ProducerNicoleT and @BrandiKruse along with Dori, going round and round, doing what they do best... #Watchdoggin
Miss you Dori!
Process ! Democratic (Representative) process. I thought you'd like that ? Maybe a voter's resolution on the ballot (this State has).. I grew up with ST/DLST which may have started in the '70's [Nixon](farmers, commuters]. Next you'll want to be like China and have only one 1 time zone across the country ! jeeeeze. When you travel to the East coast, USA you have to change your watch 3 ! hours ! ๐
@megynkelly@MegynKellyShow I sure wish you and Ben would (eventually) patch things up. I usually enjoy your show and how you break things down logically maybe using your lawyer experience. I don't always agree with you but respect your opinion. ๐ค๐
When your liberal friend complains that Washington gas prices are high because of Trump and Iran, send them this and ask who they voted for in state elections.
@TecoBoston Mostly agree, but the USA needs strong partners to resist Chinese aggression: Canada, Japan, South Korea, Australia, UK, France, maybe NATO or India or the rest of Asia.
SECRETARY RUBIO: I've said this repeatedly. I don't know why it's so hard for some to comprehend it.
No one is entitled to a visa.

@jondelarroz Hi. Have you heard about this positive review of ST SFA and they turned off the comments ? https://t.co/x6VqOBN4FS They're not on X (TDS or Elon sumthing) but may be on BluSky ... UK/Europe, so I guess less 'free speech' there. I commented on their previous X-files video: Dear Editor Tim: I was going to compliment you on your courage to give ST SF Academy a positive, "Ready Room" like review, but then you turned off the comments. Wow. Wow. That's "rich". :-( So, I thought you all had "balls" but they have clearly pulled up into your scrotum. Take it like a man and turn on the comments. Your comments about the negative reviews were overly dismissive. I'm hearing recently that the show is more popular in Europe (+UK?). But I guess free speech doesn't exist there to the extent that it does in the USA or on X. [ and it kind of goes against the Star Trek I grew up with IDIC, Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations"] I guess that your Trek believes it is right and squashes the dissent or critical reviews.
