@jsmnpnv Motivation comes from action. I really struggled with doing things when I got home, but in doing nothing, I felt like I was losing any sense of identity outside the PhD. I joined a choir and a recreational sports team. Fixed in-time activities where others expected me to be there

Maths to age 18 is fundamentally not a bad idea and could arm school leavers with better science literacy skills, better finance skills and more knowledge of how algorithms will affect their lives
