Yesterday in Science, 3/4C explored the effects garlic has on magnets. The children were amazed to discover how the magnets worked and impressed Mrs Robertson with their enthusiasm! ๐งฒ
In Science this week, Tomlinson class have been dissecting a flower and identifying the parts. The children loved this experiment and were so engaged! #NCPAScience
#ThankATeacher Day is nearly here!
On the 19 June, weโll be celebrating all those working in early years, schools and colleges.
You can send a free limited edition e-card via the @UKThankATeacher website ๐ https://t.co/DjWaj626Bq
Absolutely revolting, Brownlee class! My favourite experiment to take part in because it really takes you through each stage of the digestive process. #WatertonScience
Today, Brownlee Class have been learning about the digestive system by experimentation and observing what each system does. Well done - enjoy your tea:) #ncpascience#brownleeclass
It was a privilege to experience the awe and wonder of these children as they watched the chrysalis wriggle about, only for a butterfly to emerge! Their faces say it all ๐ฆ #WatertonScience
Our caterpillars have finally turned into beautiful butterflies and today the time had come to release them! Just like our children in Nursery, some flew higher than others; but each one flew the best it could. ๐๐ฆ#NCPAEYFS#NCPAScience#NCPAOutdoorLearning ๐๐ฆ๐๐ฆ๐๐ฆ
In our science lessons, year 5 has been exploring different forces. We used a Newton meter to measure the force acting on an object and recorded these in our books.
One activity is interesting and unusualโฆthe other is eating pizza!! Great hands on science learning for Year 6 ๐๐ผ
Huge congratulations on the completion of SATs too! #WatertonScience
In Hepworth class this half term, we have been super scientists; planting seeds, observing them over time, looking for common and wild plants and identifying deciduous and evergreen trees๐ชด ๐ ๐ณ ๐ฒ

As part of our science learning Fantastic Four have been investigating which of our teeth are best for chewing. We used our model teeth ๐ฆท to see which broke Pringles into the smallest pieces.
Well done, Reception class! This looks like great fun. What are you going to do to make sure those beautiful sunflowers grow tall? ๐ป #WatertonScience
The ITT trainees are now having a go at granular planningโฆtheyโre considering the key learning points for a half term of science! #WatertonScience@WatertonTrust
Great start with the @WatertonTrust ITT science CPD this morning! The trainees have been thinking about scientific enquiry & the investigation process. #WatertonScience
Amazing job to some of our youngest pupils! A fantastic design. @CroftonInfants could you ask the children what happened to the water when they stood in the bucket? Weโd love to know their answers ๐ค #WatertonScience
