Day 109, orbit 1691 — So happy to see my little plants 🌱 growing as part of the @CNES ChlorISS experiment!
More than 260,000 students also took part in this educational project from their classrooms, exploring the influence of light and the effects of gravity on plant growth.
I hope the students had a great time, enjoyed learning about the scientific method and that ChlorISS sparked their curiosity.
Congratulations to everyone 👏 and a big thank you to all the teachers who embarked on this adventure!
This timelapse video shows the very first step of the experiment: watering each substrate to trigger germination.
🙏 Special thanks to all the teams behind #ChlorISS: CNES, Sorbonne University, the French Ministry of Education, the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, and ESA!

Let's put it to rest once and for all. Vaccines work and we are very lucky to have them protect us against more than just primary infectious diseases nowadays.
@Jcalcolado I mean, would Lidl consider providing medical services? You could do your big shop and get that lump on the back of head seen. It'll be quicker than waiting for your GP for one thing.

Absolute privilege to once again be nominated for Best Lecturer at CSU’s Annual 1839 Awards!
Five years in a row for this nomination - i know its my job but sometimes you need reminding you are doing it well!
For the first time this year, nominations have included anonymised nomination content which is such a lovely touch - being described as an inspiration is a weird feeling, i don't like that responsibility ha!
Thanks again to anyone who nominated me and for @ChesterSU and @uochester@VC_UoChester for creating these awards! Fingers crossed i get to go to the award ceremony this time!
What a great honor! I got nominated for Best Lecturer and Best PAT! It's the third consecutive year I get nominated by our students. Thank you!
You give me great strength to continue the good work!
@UoCMedSchool@uochester
It is always a great pleasure to be there for our students' graduation
This time we had the added bonus of being there for one of our colleagues Alexandra Semicheva!
Congratulations everyone! Well done! All the best for your future steps, we will always be by your side!
From today, the majority of foreign university students cannot bring family members to the UK.
In 2024, we’re already delivering for the British people.
