@enosarris@RedsInFour And via risk management for teams. No more big bonuses for HS pitchers that are the riskiest demographic. Instead they get the survivors who made it through at least some college healthy.
@Brendan_F_Wendt@CathyYoung63 Dude also went on the job market when his PhD advisor had a major fraud scandal crash down on him. With at least one of Colin’s main papers getting retracted as part of that. And looked up EEB faculty at Cornell where he sued. 2/5 Asst Profs are white dudes…
@billjamesonline@largebill68 Sure, but how many already at a HOF level? It’s easier if starting at a lower point. It’s also about likelihood in my mind. While there are many examples of players better after 30 vs before, it’s still a minority of all players. I’d root for it, but not bet on it.
We are hiring faculty! Any area of cell or developmental biology is of interest; current strengths include cytoskeleton, mechanobiology, microscopy. Join a friendly department in the beautiful upstate NY; K99/R00 not required. https://t.co/qZKffsMPwZ
I know this is in jest, but the jump from AAA to MLB is huge right now. Lots of top prospects have struggled and need a lot of time to adjust. If a player is not being challenged, just gotta give them MLB at bats and be patient with them.
@reinhardtgstein@craigcalcaterra Black people in Jamaica are of African ancestry. Her father is a Black man. She is thus half Black. Nobody said jack shittio about anyone being African American until you just now. You first claimed she’s 100% Indian & now you’re moved the goalpost to not being culturally Black.
@reinhardtgstein@craigcalcaterra Jamaica is 3% Indian (including Afro-Indians) and 93% Black, but lean into that weird new Birtherism because of your feels.
