I am a solo indie dev making a roguelike where you feed a dragon.
- Tabletop-based gameplay with big math energy
- Roll dice to harvest food
- 100% hand-drawn art (by my wife)
Itโs called Feed the Scorchpot, and you can play the demo on Steam now.
We're making a dice roguelike about feeding a dragon for twenty years.
- Roll for ingredients
- Build your island
- Fuse absurd recipes into combos that break the score wide open.
Miss a meal and you're next on the menu! #PitchYaGame
We FINALLY get to say it: We're funded!
After canceling our first campaign, and coming back for a second micro 8-day campaign, it's so lovely to see our backers return to get us over the line.
Thanks a million to our 149 backers ๐๐๐
@IndieCurator@ExplodinBeef Weโve got a demo that can last anywhere from 1 hour up to 30. Since itโs a roguelike itโs got a good amount of replay value already! Weโll be the Next Fest ๐

Feed the Scorchpot is created by me (a solo dev) and my wife (the artiste).
The story goes:
- dragon gives you an island
- only asks to be fed in return
- fishy but ok
- feed for 20 years to get out alive
Simple enough. Try the demo!
How good of job has my wife done?!
We rejected $17,000 in funding.
A tiny bit clickbait, but that IS what our first Kickstarter campaign for @scorchpot raised before we canceled it. We realised too much of the funds were going towards physical rewards, and not enough to the game development.
But we picked up where we left off, started a new campaign with a new goal, and there's only 4 days left!
