It’s honestly sad and shameful that we’ve been too afraid to stand up against this tyrannical regime, while Imran Khan has had to spend three years in prison. If we fail him, God surely will not forgive us for this betrayal.
All fun and games until you realize our people speaking out like this can get them murdered in broad daylight, their women can be abducted from homes and children harassed, this regime is worse than dictatorship.
It has now been around 1,100 days since my father, Imran Khan, was imprisoned, and my brother and I haven’t heard his voice since March. For months, we’ve been denied contact with him. We remain in the dark about his access to healthcare as his eyesight continues to deteriorate. He urgently needs medical attention, and with no family or legal access, we don’t even get any second hand information or reassurance.
I’ve found myself especially missing him recently. I want to speak to him about mundane things like my cricket, books I’ve been reading and what new movies are good. I understand the people of Pakistan want their chosen leader free, but I miss my father more than ever.
But this is not just about a father. It is about Pakistan, and its future. A rigged, authoritarian regime continues to crush political opposition, undermine democratic institutions, and deny millions of Pakistanis their right to freely choose their leaders, whilst terrorising those who speak their beliefs.
I once again plea to the international community to not look away. Silence in the face of injustice only enables it.
Congratulations Pakistanio, While everyone is praising the protests in India and some military brats are busy criticizing the Indian government, your own government has increased petrol prices by Rs. 7 today after raising them by Rs. 5 yesterday. At least speak up for your own country first. That’s the difference between their youth and ours. You can’t bring change by just watching reels.
Kudos to india for arresting their opposition leader next they should put 100+ cases on him, manage courts, put his wife in jail, make him lose his vision and cut ties with rest of the world for months else how dare they claim to be a democracy.
This “journalist” spent years sucking up to an illegitimate fascist govt like a loyal lapdog and was appointed as special assistant to PM with a federal minister’s status as a reward, just by the way.
A country running on loans: IMF, wealthy Arabs, China, and the USA. No economic policy. When a loan is approved, thugs celebrate it and present it as a great achievement before Pakistan’s ordinary public. This government is a fraud and keeps defrauding its people.
You not only stood blind when a cop dragged a woman by her hair with full force in your own country, but you actively enabled it too.
Have some fucking shame for once!
I received a phone call today by someone claiming to be from the military, the person sent me my excise sheet and footage from the motorway toll plaza of my vehicle entering the highway. He claimed that I had passed his vehcile while over speeding and that he had barely survived the crash after I had sped away. He demanded a compensation of 1.2 million. The only fact is that the date he mentioned I was out of the country. I told him to share his particulars, he then named a senior military official, claiming to be his nephew. And that he would have me picked up.
Regardless that this was scam to extort money, I understand that it’s not difficult to get details of vehicles or assets, but how come he managed to retrieve the camera footage from a motorway toll plaza, which is basically surveillance footage controlled by the government. Is the system that compromised that our data is so easily available to anyone who can buy it? Are criminals now operating in tandem with networks deep within our surveillance system? Is there any accountability at any level?
