The disciples waited in the upper room for power, not for salvation. They needed the power of Jesus. They already believed on Him.

Acts 1:5,8 NKJV
for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now." [8] But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

We all need the power of Jesus.

We create proselytes rather than believers when we trust a good argument rather than proving God with power.

I don’t see this question anywhere so I’m posting it again. Q3:(vs 3-5) these verses state the husband should be giving to his wife her sexual rights as well as the wife giving her husband his sexual rights to curtail temptation. This verse has been said to refer back to Genesis: 2:24-25. Genesis 2:23-24 NIV - The man said, “This is now bone of my - Bible Gateway how does Paul addressing sexual relationships this way help curtail the sexual promiscuity that was occurring?
