Looking at @YouGov’s head-to-head tracker of best PM, Kemi is playing an absolute blinder for right-of-centre voters with a seriously impressive lead over Farage.

The more people see and hear of her, the more traction she gains over Reform. Aided by the fact Reform are populated with the cast-offs who failed Britain last time round, and the Tories are going for brand new talent from the real world.

Nigel is going for the bin, @KemiBadenoch is going for the win.

ABERDEEN SOUTH TORY GAIN!!

@DLumsden_MSP wins the first @ScotTories gain at a Westminster byelection since 1967 with a bumper 25% increase in the share of the vote, taking 50%.

RBS Giffnock is due to close on 17 Sept 2026. This follows the loss of Clydesdale Bank and Bank of Scotland branches in recent years. I am taking this up formally with RBS owners NatWest and will seek clarity on the closure assessment, cash access assessment and mitigation plan.

This is the exact problem that causes many usual employment rights not to be automatically given to Councillors e.g. parental leave.

Changes must be made so loopholes can be closed but also barriers to office removed.
