@chamath
Good article and chart. I live in the county with the 2nd cheapest power in the US and the high concentration of data centers in the US. Our utility is raising our rates 9.8% per year over the next 10 years. The data companies are not bringing their own power, they are encouraging the utility company to increase themselves and the cost is being placed on existing customers too.
I am a large agricultural processor and this increase is not sustainable. Looking forward to the pledges actually being acted upon.
Again, it will be up to the consumers to spend money again for ourselves on top of what we pay utilities while the large data companies come and harvest our strong hydro electric system we have all paid for in the last 6 decades.
The show at the white house was pageantry at its best.
@DavidSacks Please let it be true. I’m in a very heavy data center county. Our utility is raising rates 9.4% per year over next ten years for industrial power. Big problem for my commodity business

I’ve listened for a long time. Listen to what Eric told you and be strong in your own country. You ruled the seas and the world. No you whine about our country.
The world needs strong men.
Be one👍👍
@patrickbetdavid Long time fan PBD. This is not interesting. It’s not good at all.
My good friend is on the Nimitz. Was supposed to be his last sailing before retiring.
Now looks like they are staying……….
Chamath, thank you for all you do. It is interesting, I live in the cheapest power county in the country, Grant County WA. We also now have one of the highest concentration of data centers in the US due to our cheap power and access to the fastest Fiber line in US. Right now our utilities are having to increase prices due to demand from new data centers. I would love to hear your thoughts on this are.
Thanks
@typesfast@chontang Current corn/wheat prices are profitable even with high Fert cost. Growers are planting as much as they can. I know, I am a grower😉👍
@dbrades89 @SouthTXHauler Not true. Federal problem. Federal government is barring the growth of the greatest renewable technology in the NW that has helped the SW for decades.
@dbrades89 Correction. The republican mob and the 18 registered Democrats who rushed in as well. Don’t think people are forgetting, just tired of the one sided story. By the way, your Shipping info is very useful👍👍
