@Brightonfan I agree with you about the way that county and test cricket is looked at. I’m a big fan of test cricket and never watch the hundred and still believe that test cricket is the pinnacle of the game. I also believe that, overall, Bazball has made England respected and feared again

#bbccricket cue all the negativity from England fans … Here is my prediction to balance it a bit. Root to make another 100 and move to 3rd in the all time test batting records, others to chip in with 30s/40s giving England a lead of 270-300 and England to win by about 30 runs

@Brightonfan I look at the overall team results and performances which have improved dramatically under Bazball (which had also developed from its original form).
I now watch test matches with hope instead of dread which has to be a good thing

@Brightonfan Not disagreeing that our openers are not as good as we had in the past but overall we have the top 2 batsmen in the world rankings and 3 in the top 10.
We spent years trying to find 1 partner for Cook so no surprise our openers aren’t as world class as previous couple of decades

@Brightonfan I was talking about the test in general. Throughout the entire series every time an Indian bats well or England lose a wicket people are commenting like England are school kids playing against world beaters. Yet the series and test were completely level after the first innings
