Overturning Roe and outlawing abortions will never make them go away.
It only makes them more dangerous, especially for the poor + marginalized.
People will die because of this decision. And we will never stop until abortion rights are restored in the United States of America.
It is very partisan and not a check or a balance of the executive branch but rather a henchman. It is a function of whichever party, whichever executive branch is lucky to get the appointment. We should be talking about justice department reform immediately.
With the braindead decision turning back the clock 50 years in where old men and women think they know better than individuals when it comes to their own bodies, the ruling proves this more than anything: the supreme court is not independent.
Let me be clear...Roe V Wade should not be overturned. The court will lose the confidence of the American people if it is. No longer can we even pretend that the highest court is not tied in with beltway politics.
Journalists:“How do you feel about the Green New Deal” is not a climate change question.
Try: “What is your plan to bring down emissions?” so voters actually understand if a candidate even *has* a plan for the worst impending crisis of our time, and can share what it is.

More people have died preventable deaths from coronavirus than 9/11. We should make changes that reflect that. If the CDC says dining in restaurants spreads the disease then shut down dine in.
Every time a black man is unjustly shot by police and it's caught on video, our president only talks about sending in more police. He never talks about the tragedy, only the protesting. It's more than obvious that he does not care when American men are shot in the streets.
Law and order doesn't work because our laws are outdated and racist and our police force (enforcement of order) is militarized. What about peace, understanding, and equality?
If morality and ethics aren't enough to pressure legislators to do the right thing, then maybe our athletes can force businesses to put pressure on our politicians. Seems to be the only way to effect change i.e., the Washington Football team. In the meantime, #vote
I love the NBA. But with what is going on repeatedly in cities across the USA, I believe that all the players should strike indefinitely. They should strike until each city that the team represents produces significant police, judicial, voting, housing, and prison reform. 1/2
