What an ending to this school year. I sure didn’t see this happening when I shut my door for the summer today. Beyond thankful for of those that helped with the clean up. It’s emotional to see everything under water. 🫶🏼
We asked elementary students to tell us what comes to mind when they think of their teachers. We could not contain the joy of acquiring knowledge and the gratitude our students had. Thank you to our educators who open doors that cannot be closed! #thankateacher#ONERCSD
WHO REMEMBERS? On this date in 1991, Rochester's "Storm of the Century" was getting ready to unfold. Beginning after 10pm, freezing rain would fall for 17 consecutive hours, encasing the region in significant ice.
The city alone lost more than 10,000 trees under the weight of ice accretion. Tens of thousands of customers were without power for days, and in some cases, weeks. In the end, a dozen counties were ultimately declared natural disaster areas with estimated damages approaching $400 million.
Take a moment to reflect on what “home” means to you. What are you longing for, and how does it shape your emotional world today?
This feeling can stir up a powerful mix of emotions: warmth, sadness, and sometimes even regret.

UPDATE: It covers a 4500-square-foot wall in the heart of downtown #Dansville. The Clara Barton mural is complete and community members say it reflects her spirit while honoring her founding of the 1st chapter of the @RedCross in the village.

While #walking our movement patterns amazingly adapt to what we see (light/color, landscape, motion...); our vestibular balance (shifts in verticality/the midline); and our sense of muscle movement (proprioceptive cues to brain about spatial orientation and positioning. #BrainGym
Hard to believe summer is more than half over.
A throwback to character day when frog and toad did the last break send-off to everyone 🐸 🐸. @frogandtoadbook
WATCH: Today John Kucko and his camera went to Thorn Farms in Clyde, where nearly 1,000,000 bright and beautiful sunflowers bloom on 200 acres of land every July.
This photo was taken at exactly 10:56pm EDT tonight. On this date, at this exact moment in 1969, Neil Armstrong spoke the infamous words, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind". I've highlighted the location of that Apollo 11 landing site, visible on tonight's lunar surface 55 years later.
@cardboarddreaml Thank you so much for the opportunity to post. Sped teacher switching back into the classroom from consultant.
