Opening statements in the Rashaun Jones trial were delayed after defense attorneys presented new information that a Haitian immigrant allegedly confessed to being a paid hit man who told an ICE informant he killed a “kid from the University of Miami.”

Not much new, but one item released as a public record this summer was a statement from an inmate who was incarcerated with Jones last fall. He said Jones told him he got into a heated argument w/ Pata, blacked out and then “the next thing I know, he's on the ground." 2/3
