Bee Bot curling! Ss love this activity and itโs a great way to bring coding and the Olympics together. Ss program the robot to move onto the curling mat. They use a plastic cup to mark their shot. If a Bee Bot bumps a cup, you get to replace the cup with yours.@codebreakeredu
Ss had fun exploring Specdrums. The technology allows music to be played through colour recognition. Ss used the colour mat then explored what other beats they could create using the world around them. @Sphero@SpheroEdu @WinnipegSD
This was a great opportunity to bring Scratch and Makey Makey together. Ss had to tell a knock knock joke and use five different outputs on their Makey Makey circuit boards. @scratch@mraspinall
Ss worked hard on their video games. They are really understanding the importance of giving their game a feel or theme. I made the graphic organizer to try and help guide them in creating a purpose and direction to their games. @BloxelsEDU @bloxels @WinnipegSD
Beyblades and broccoli can be conductors! Ss were challenges to find different conductors to Make....y the piano play. Thank you @mraspinall for showing me the wonders of Makey Makey๐ @WinnipegSD
Ss worked today focusing on the purpose of their video game. We asked questions such as how does the hero win? What is the goal of the game? Itโs hard to contain all the excitement and not want to put 50 enemies on the first level!@BloxelsEDU
@msbenoitsclass Thank you for the kind words Christi:) Let me know if there is anything I can send your way. I have bunch of resources on Dash and coding. Take care:)
We had fun finishing our Harry Potter inspired wizard duels. Ss had to make sure the spell had a unique name, used a forward and backward code, lasted 15 sec and had a wizard costume. @WonderWorkshop@misterwashburn@mraspinall @WinnipegSD
@mselliottKPDSB @WinnipegSD It is a grade 5/6 French class. It was our third class using Dash. I was slowly trying to tie in coding to the grade 6 space curriculum:)
I had a blast today watching Ss create and build LEGO bulldozer attatcmemts for their Mars rovers. Their goal was to deliver the supplies to the designated drop zone.
