There are so many benefits to including people with lived experience in improvement work
We need to put the effort, time and support into making it a reality for all projects – not just some projects on the outskirts of healthcare

Writing anything remotely academic 🤓…
“I really should get started”
“No I need to clean the house, reorganise the cupboards & get all the books out of the library first”

“Oh this is really interesting” 🤦🏻♂️
Deadline in a matter of days ☕️🙄
I could keep going but the 🧵 will run out…
If you’ve ever considered a career in mental health / therapy. Talk to someone in the field (also always very happy to), I love what I do & forever grateful to those I’ve had the fortune to learn from.
👋🏻 Been a bit quiet on here…👇🏻
Reflecting on my first 4 months @unilincoln@LPFTNHS training to be a CBT Therapist & what I’ve learnt (so far)… a🧵 from the ❤️
1. Working alongside people to develop skills for better mental health & quality of life is the biggest privilege
4. Therapy & being a therapist is messy, just like life. There’s no perfect method (this is taking some getting used to)
5. I love learning. Saying I don’t know is a real skill
6. Curiosity makes for SO many interesting conversations. Education is a 2 way street
@Rebecca_AHP Rebecca this is wonderful news!! You’ll be such an asset to the team and bring such a wealth of skills, experience and knowledge!
Always keep flying high the education flag! Look forward to keep watching your career go from strength to strength! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
