@KevinMcNamara33 I still don’t understand this. Common sense would give athletes 5 years to play 4. Red shirt, injuries,…. everything else. You play 4 seasons…. like a normal college student. Cap the age at 23 too. QB Drew Pyne at his 4th school entering his 7th year ..age 26 this season.
@MarkDivver This is disappointing but reality of the times, I guess. I certianly hope they retain him. A solid top line center and great contributor that would not easily be replaced.
@JimDonaldsonJr@NDFootball@uscfb Former AD Swarbrick always stated it would take certain criteria to join a conference. One of them was a fair route to the postseason . Would this now be a tipping point supported by alumni, Jim? My guess is not yet.
@JimDonaldsonJr My pet peeve is the unending eligibilty, transfers, redshirts and waivers. A player like Drew Pyne: ND (3 yrs.) ASU (1 yr) now at MIzzou with 3 years of eligibility remaining. Eligible for 7 fall seasons….makes zero sense. I certainly don’t fault Pyne rather the system.
@JimDonaldsonJr@Patriots I do recall they went to and won Sbowls with QBs like Hostetler and Rypien…. not exactly household names. We could go on forever …but #TomBrady coattails created more millionaires than silicon valley…..just ask Weiss, Crennel, Patricia, Judd et al.
