@PresGreg @MUEngLdrInst@miamiuniversity@LeaderLouise Hi @PresGreg! Thank you for all your support and for being a leader of the Miami community during these trying times. The pandemic has taught me that rhythms are easily interrupted by change, but achieving small goals daily can help to reestablish that flow.
When evaluating beliefs, I learned three important questions to ask:
- Why do you believe what you believe?
- How could you be wrong?
- Who do you want to be next?
I have found these to provide valuable answers during introspection.

@jgberger Read your work in class today and the “Three questions to help you grow” have shown me where I want to be mentally when I join the workforce and how I want my mind to develop in the future
Sometimes being a leader means living your life for the betterment of other people. It's a selfless position that needs filled. Do something nice for a leader in your life, you never know how a simple gesture can make their day. #CHANGEminded
@jgberger@LeaderLouise Your book “Unlocking Leadership Mindtraps” was such a good read. I loved the relateable language used. It really opened my eyes to see how our natural instincts work against us. Thank you for this insight and this new desire for self reflection and questioning! #CHANGEminded
Similar to how the seas can change from calm to turbulent, so can the dynamics of everyday business so you must be ready to embrace change and be #CHANGEminded@MUEngLdrInst
In order to embrace change, I can learn to get out of my comfort zone by questioning my instincts. What ways can I change the things that make me comfortable? What are the benefits of trying new things? #CHANGEminded@MUEngLdrInst
@MUEngLdrInst 's Cohort 8 is putting on a summit focusing on the topic of embracing change on April 17th. Being able to handle change properly and accept it is a lesson everyone can benefit from. I'm very excited to attend and see Cohort 8's hard work! #CHANGEminded
@NoahMac48 Digital Transformation is the essence of change. In getting more comfortable with technology and the rapid pace of its development, people become more open to the idea of change and realize that staying stagnant in a changing world is more and more difficult.
@natalienguyenmu@MUEngLdrInst@LeaderLouise That's how hidden biases can stay hidden - individuals do not take the time to recognize them. To recognize hidden biases is to take the time to do difficult research and then spend time introspecting and reflecting on your actions.
@PresGreg @miamiuniversity@MUEngLdrInst@LeaderLouise By far my biggest take away was learning to not avoid conflict in a team, but rather to embrace it in order to have ideas developed and strengthened through collaborative communication.
Just watched @Scott_Mosher20's #LEADigital video on the book "What To Do When Machines Do Everything." My key learning: #MachineLearning and #AI are more likely to enhance people's abilities in the workforce than replace human workers. @MUEngLdrInst

@PresGreg While not directly a leadership quote, I’m a fan of the quote attributed to Henry Ford, “If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.” It exemplifies a key leadership trait — the ability to think outside the box and have a vision. @MUEngLdrInst
@PresGreg @MUEngLdrInst Pres Crawford,
The @MUEngLdrInst has been one of my most impactful experiences since becoming a Redhawk. Everything you said has proven to be true and more, thanks for the shoutout!
What to do When Machines do Everything was a very insightful book I've read lately that offers a good roadmap to the future of technology, so I made a video about it! Feel free to check it out here if you'd like to learn more. #LEADigital@MUEngLdrInst https://t.co/jWi62UQkyI
In order to help myself prepare for the digital era, I’m practicing the ABCs of resiliency when faced with adversity. By facing my beliefs and strengthening them in the face of adversity, I can mitigate the consequences and therefore handle adversity better. #LEADigital
