While NASA maintains a safety distance of 4 to 11 km from launches, Roscosmos is much more relaxed. The comment from Cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko on watching a Soyuz launch from merely 132 m (!) away: "We were seeing off the prime crew. The sound wave was on the edge of pain, my internal organs resonated, and adrenaline was pumping."
The video is from the Soyuz TMA-14M launch in 2014.

@Geniustechw Delusions of grandeur. So what she is saying is that the man needs to have all the assets because all she brings is another man’s luggage.
@djmikkelson@HealthRanger Wrong. At 200 yards the super sonic round would get there before the sound. A super sonic bullet produces a “sonic boom” but it sounds like a “crack” followed by the “boom” of the gun.
@TermLimitsNow48@itsthejuiceg The bullet shock wave or impact would be my best guess. People are saying the bullet hit the shock plate in a vest but you can clearly see he was not wearing one. It was reportedly a 30.06 which is a great choice for distance shots.
