@PsyopAnime @JensClaessens You made two false assumptions, 1. There is talent using the tools and 2. They are artists. Craft is craft and AI won’t replace missing craft. Storycraft has to be learned. The stuff I see lacks a serious amount of craft.

@CultureCrave I get it. They wanted to save a buck and went AI. I wonder about the human cost. The actors, crew, and support business around a shoot. The families that could have been supported by that shoot. The experience the humans would have shared together making that spot on location.

@maxescu I use AI daily. It’s nowhere near being anywhere close to production ready. It will be used as a tool but never the way AI hype train proclaims.

@mexopolis Makes sense. Personally, I think theatrical is going to make a huge comeback soon if the films are worth leaving the house. Cabin fever is setting in. People want to get out and do things.

@dreamingtulpa Ironically most artists trying to produce their best work aren’t doing it for money. I believe this is a fundamental misunderstanding of the arts. Countless artists work tirelessly for money and die with zero recognition or status. They simply produce because they are driven to.

@Alchimagination @Artedeingenio It’s a tool for sure. And great for some people to tell their stories. That’s great. Storytelling is also an artistic skill honed through practice.

@Artedeingenio @Alchimagination I hate the hype around AI much more than AI. AI is a tool. It has a place in the commercial world to bring down cost and increase efficiency. Is it Art? For me, art is more about the process and practice of making art that results in a unique human experience.

@ze_bigfoot @TheRealEllzilla This line of logic is a myth. You make the assumption that LLM learn the same as humans. They don’t. Why? Because they don’t interpret the work through the filter of existence. It’s a false equivalency.

@DisneyPlus I wish you had more animated shorts from the 50’s and 60’s. In fact, I wish you streamed all of the animated shorts and organized them by era similar to the DVD sets you released twenty odd years ago.
