@PittsburghTango@RobPgolfer30@stoolpresidente So what's your solution to the kid that never brings a pencil to class? Just curious.
Also, I rarely have these problems as a 30 year educator, but I'm tired of people thinking all educators are indoctrinate all of our students. It just doesn't happen like the media reports.
@uncletonyy13@PittsburghTango@stoolpresidente Ok 7.50 per hour per kid. I see them 45 minutes, so about 5.62 per hour. Let say 25 kids per class...140.50 per class. I teach 6 classes so $843 per diem. I 'd take it.
@RobPgolfer30@PittsburghTango@stoolpresidente I can speak for 99.5 % of teachers when I say if I could indoctrinate anything it would be:
1. Get off your phone
2. Do your work
3. Bring something to write with
@rugasco1@ronsterd89 Again, not true in my district. We have had people speak out about issues, and it is handled professionally. Every place is not always what you hear on social media or the news.
@rugasco1@ronsterd89 It’s not a common as you think or the media makes it out to be. I work in an urban style public school, and no one is doing it in my building. Just saying…maybe it happens more in higher socioeconomic schools, but not in mine.
@MarvelTeacher2 Sometimes I use the "nuclear bomb" theory if I have a lot of talkers in a class. I sit them all together so when they talk or try to disrupt, they're right next to each other so it is not across the whole room. Sometimes is works great, and other times- the nuclear bomb.
