Two years house arrest.

Doing 90 km an hour in a 50 zone. Empty beer cans in the back of the pickup truck. No indication he used the brakes before killing the girl and causing brain damage to her mother.

House arrest.

Except during that house arrest, the indigenous man can go to school and work.

Judge Edward is the “great great great great grandson” of a Six Nations chief.

In other words, he just let off one of his band members who killed a “socially irrelevant” white girl.

This judge should be investigated, removed from the bench and disbarred.

No jail.

The judge actually wrote this:

“He considered how colonialization of the Six Nations band had led to a “major disconnection” to Wilson’s culture that, in turn, led him into “over-consumption of alcohol and unhealthy relationships.”

“This crystallized into the tragic events of Feb. 11, 2022,” said Edward.

This is real life.
