@northernassist Billingham. I’m on the later train but had to pay to change my connecting train from Newcastle to Edinburgh. Better for all if you update the app promptly
As a frequent traveller on the excellent @LNER East Coast Mainline service, I’m looking forward to seeing the new menu next week but will miss this…(even though the half pork pie disappeared!) @DavidHorne
@northernassist That doesn’t explain what the charge is actually for: what additional “admin” has @northernassist actually had to do to justify a charge? I did all the changes myself on an app - you’ve done nothing, it’s cost you nothing!
@northernassist wanting to charge a £10 “admin” fee to change a like-for-like £4.75 ticket on the same route but different day via their own app. What “admin” charges are Northern actually incurring to justify this?
@northernassist I’ve had to return home a day early for a family emergency. I don’t mind buying another ticket (it’s only £4:75!) just querying an excessive “admin” charge; what’s it for?
@MichaelLCrick Alan Wright BBC Radio Cleveland long standing and decent presenter, contract terminated in 2002 shortly after a bad tempered interview with Mandy, the MP for Hartlepool. Wright a Hartlepudlian. Maybe a coincidence, worth having a dig though
@theswanyork@GOVUK Totally agree. Look at the vested interests of even your back bench MPs and you’ll see what their real agenda is: if it was happening in Africa, we’d be calling it corruption. Had some good times in @theswanyork over Christmas, hope 2026 is good to you 🍻
First date of the UK leg of @suzyv tour at @glasshouseicm supported by the brilliant @KatherinePriddy
Can’t wait to see Katherine at Hall 2 in May 2026
@Hullhistorynews@hull_libraries@Hull_Museums I struggle to understand why more people aren’t aware of this; if Harold had met William the Conqueror with a fresh army, they may well have repelled the invaders and changed a thousand years of future history.
@BestOfUKComedy Worth listening to John Lloyd’s podcast about it. The cast weren’t told the set that real pyrotechnics would go off, their reactions to the noise and flying debris were real
