Applicable Federal Rate (AFR) for January 2026 - 4.6%

For charitable gift annuities, the highest AFR will produce the largest charitable tax deduction while the lowest AFR will produce the highest tax-free payout.

The ACGA’s Board of Directors met in person on November 6 and 7, 2025. Among the important business addressed was the Board’s support of the Rates & Regulations Committee’s recommendation to hold the Suggested Maximum Rate Schedule at its current rates.
