Sicario (2015) was one of those films that was actually super powerful because it blew up the girlboss, fem superhero mythology. Sicario is good because it makes the girlboss type look ridiculous and incompatible with the brutal realities of war and politics.

I don't know if that was the director's intention or even if he is remotely conservative (seems not), but he succeeded.
