Just spotted someone selling framed posters ( various sizes) of my aurora photos on Etsy. I have never given permission for someone to use it, never provided it as a digital image and always post low res, with a watermark. It's this image. I can't quite work out how they have done it and also why when it is clear that I own the copyright. I have contacted the seller to see what they say and in the hope they remove the listing. Feeling pretty sad right now and more than a bit angry.

I am so saddened to hear of the death of Marianne Faithfull. She was so much part of my life for so long. She was a wonderful friend, a beautiful singer and a great actress. She will always be remembered.

It is with great sadness that I share with you the passing of Britt Allcroft.

The Allcroft-Wright family has asked me to bring this news to the Thomas fandom. A full obituary will be released in the London Times later today. The family is currently in mourning and asks that their privacy be respected at this time.

Britt was an adoring mother and wife. A visionary producer. She brought so much joy and happiness to people everywhere during her time on Earth.

Over the years of knowing Britt, we developed a close connection. It was truly a privilege to have her as both a mentor and a friend, and I’m so glad that so many fans were able to meet her at the New York screening of “An Unlikely Fandom”. It was an absolute honor to have her in our documentary, and she has since remained a vocal supporter of our cause.

I think I can speak for the entirety of the fandom when I say that all of us will deeply miss her. Without her, so many of us would never have met.

As a way to honor Britt's legacy, her family as asked that you consider making a charitable donation to your local chapter of the ASPCA in Britt's name.

While I am devastated by her passing, we can all find comfort in the certainty that her legacy will endure forever through Thomas and his fans around the world.

Packed train from London to Plymouth due to storm disruption. Elderly people made to stand in the isles for the 4 hour journey. I’m FAR from perfect but gave up my seat whilst other young & able passengers sit in total indifference. It’s sad & disappointing. Thank you mum for teaching me some manners. They cost nothing & matter most.

This month in 1966, The Doors officially signed with Elektra records.

It all began in May 1966, when Arthur Lee, lead singer of Love, suggested to Elektra Records president and founder Jac Holzman that he watch The Doors perform at the Whisky a Go Go.

By August of that year, the band won Holzman over, who ultimately offered them a contract. While they had "unofficially" joined the label, the agreement became official in November.

The rest is history.

I am very sad to say that my dear friend of over 60 years and producer of ⁦@BBCRadio2⁩ Sound of the Sixties passed away yesterday afternoon after a long illness.I am so glad I saw him and his wife Lynsey last Friday. Phil, the Collector, Swern will be missed by us all.
