"Female is real, and it's sex.
Femininity is unreal, and it's gender.
And for that to become the given identity of women is a profoundly disabling notion."

Apparently it’s racist to report on the systemic rape and torture of women, to document the evidence, and to be horrified by the proof that Hamas and their Palestinian supporters explicitly used rape as a weapon of war/terrorism.
This is how so many young women have been systematically raped, tortured and abused in this country whilst those with the power to stop it looked away, buried the evidence, and blamed the victims.
Ignore, deny, obfuscate, blame, accuse, project, hurl wild accusations of hatred at those who stand firmly against the onslaught - none of that changes the truth.
@UNSRVAW But they have been investigated and prosecuted - they are in court. What about the widespread celebrations and cheering in Gaza following the 7 October rapes and massacre? Does that make Gazans 'irredeemable' too?
Sorry I was unclear here. I agree that there was certainly a time when this was true. My point was to say right now that the opposite would be the case, that gender critical voices would be prioritised. Because the received wisdom view has shifted, which is my overall point of where the BBC does succumb to bias and is often insufficiently daring (a tendency made worse by the media environment we are now in).
@ripx4nutmeg Heard a clip of that Justine bloke on 6 Music talking about how one of his proudest moments was leading an audience in booing the 'Supreme Court judgment on trans identity' 🙄 So exhaustingly self obsessed.
@damekatydenise_ It's a bloody disgrace, Dame Katy, that's what it is. All the effort you put in, the valuable time you have to take out from shipping chairs to vulnerable transladies in need. It's like women just don't care.
@SVPhillimore@WomenOfWessex Well, if they're going to pass comment on women's appearance, they should expect some comment back. And this lot looked like a truckload of laundry.
