This is a very good question. I think that the attached image of the Wacken Open Air festival for this summer has some good indications (regardless my personal taste). It seems that Sabaon became a major band over the years.
In the extreme metal, I think that Behemoth will become larger and I'm interested to see what will happen with the new Nevermore lineup.

@HeaviestDoyen I totally get you. I used to run a web zine back in the day, and in the reviews section we only wrote about the impressions the album left on us — nothing else.
And when a reviewer writes about an album that isn’t really their genre, they probably won’t give it a 9–10 anyway.
