@jamesclaude52@SecretFire79 but… We are called to charitably share the truth - The Catholic Church has valid Sacraments that pour grace into our lives - such as Baptism, Confession, and of course Jesus Christ Himself in The Holy Eucharist
@jamesclaude52@SecretFire79 Extra Ecclesiam nulla salus (meaning "outside the Church there is no salvation" is a dogma of The Church.
The Church does also teach “invincible ignorance” so there are those that God knows they didn’t have the chance to learn the truth, so He does take that into account, but…
@BearBazooka@Alt1Andy@BrianNijman@creation247 From there we can talk about God’s natural design for the flourishing of human life, the purpose is sex, the design of human love, and the health and happiness and development of children
@BearBazooka@BrianNijman@creation247 The first thing to understand is our true identity for all humans is you are a “beloved son/daughter of God” - that’s our true identity- not our attractions- we can’t always control those. I could be naturally attracted to 1woman, a billion or even a married woman =/= my IDENTITY
@BearBazooka@BrianNijman@creation247 I don’t speak for anti-Catholic Protestants (though I used to be one) because they believe in “Scripture alone” that all you need is The Bible. As a Catholic Christian we know that Christ established His Church in 33AD - well before The Bible was compiled in 382 (Council of Rome)
@MadameModern@SecretFire79 Oh cool! As a kid I definitely thought/was taught that Catholics worshipped Mary 😂
some of my family believed all Catholics go to hell, and some believed that God cared more about the heart and less about ignorance.
@Lagniappe123 @SecretFire79 She’s is The Sacred God Bearer - The Ark of The New Covenant - topological fulfillment of the Old Testament’s Ark of The Covenant
@poor_m1 @SecretFire79 I’m a former protestant – Protestants are just confused about Catholics using the term “mother of God“ - that title is why they think Catholics worship Mary.
Please be patient with protestants, and articulate Catholic theology in a way that helps them understand.

@althealchemist4@SecretFire79 I’m a former protestant – we had no disagreement with Mary being His mother. Protestants are just confused about Catholics using the term “mother of God“
That term is why they think Catholics worship Mary.

@MadameModern@SecretFire79 I thought Mary would be the last thing I accepted. She actually became the first thing! Among many things, I was shown her typology - the Old Testament Ark of the covenant - and her being the New Testament Ark the covenant.
And OUR mother (Rev. 22, John 19)
