@VodafoneUK had 3 awful experiences with your customer service teams recently. It seems one colleague has even lied to me. One refused to let me speak to a supervisor. Been a customer for years but now moving networks
7️⃣ Lazy list building
Too many people don’t put enough rigour into building and cleansing prospect lists. You can’t rely on software filters alone.
List building and checking is not fun. But so worth the effort.
7 Things to avoid when email prospecting in 2023:
1️⃣ Writing “I hope you’re well” in your first line
Get straight to the point.
The first line should grab the recipient's attention and make them want to read on.
Don’t waste it with generic, insincere phrases.

4️⃣ Sending follow ups on the same day each week
Try and vary the time between steps and send on different days of the week. This way you can also look for trends to optimise for.
Conventional wisdom is that you should only send emails on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
6️⃣ Connect on LinkedIn
Kind of obvious, but I’m surprised how many sales people and business owners alike don’t use a LinkedIn connection request as a touch point in their prospecting.
Don’t rely on email alone. You should also invite them to follow your company page
5️⃣ Saying things like “I’d love to jump on a call”
Your prospect does not care about what you want. They care about their own pressures and aspirations, and will only speak to you if you’ve demonstrated that you may be able to help them.
First time I’ve used Twitter in years. Experience and user content seems much better. Looking forward to seeing how it develops now @elonmusk is in charge (considering people said it would have ‘died’ by now)
@CarrieRosePR I’ve got a build. The *best* marketers understand sales. They might not always have done a sales role (but it’s a bonus) but they listen to sales calls for content ideas, and they create content that drives sales. Sales is marketing to one person, marketing is sales at scale.

@jet2tweets hi guys, I was told by one of your colleagues who called me last week that a refund would have been issued by now but doesn’t seem to have. How do I chase this up?
