Before you take @ErikaDonalds’ attack on David Jolly at face value, understand what’s actually being debated and FOLLOW THE MONEY.

Jolly isn’t proposing to end school choice. His plan would:

• Means test taxpayer funded vouchers
• Require voucher schools to provide specialized services comparable to public schools
• Hold schools receiving public dollars accountable for academic performance
• Limit tuition increases that simply absorb voucher increases
• Invest substantially more in Florida’s public schools

Now the part Erika leaves out: she has a financial stake in Florida’s privatized education system.

Erika owns education management and technology companies that have received millions of dollars through publicly funded charter school operations. Her ownership interest in OptimaEd alone has been valued in congressional financial disclosures at up to MILLIONS OF DOLLARS.

So when she says stronger accountability for schools receiving taxpayer money “undermines school choice,” ask the obvious question:

Is she defending parents, or is she defending a TAXPAYER FUNDED education business model from stronger oversight? 🤨

I know @davidjollyfl and have discussed guns and gun violence with him. He is a strong 2A supporter who also wants to do more to reduce gun violence. He supports the BIPARTISAN legislation that was passed in Florida after the Parkland shooting. The fact that you would lie and misrepresent that now says more about you. The fact that you are ok with gun violence says more about you. The fact that you are reverting to bullshit like this, in order to engage your base, says more about you, and it won't work.

Unlike you, David Jolly is capable of discussing his support for the second amendment and his support for BIPARTISAN legislation in Florida because he is speaking to ALLL Florida voters.
