Bill C-34 doesn't exist in isolation. In this video, John Carpay explains why the proposed Safe Social Media Act is the legislative lynchpin in a broader series of federal laws that expand government regulation of Canadians' online activity, privacy, and freedom of expression.

In 1960, newly independent African leaders had a choice: capitalism or socialism.
Almost all of them picked socialism.
A Ghanaian economist named George Ayittey spent forty years documenting what happened next.
His findings are in print, and almost nobody outside Africa wants to hear them. 🧵
Last week, the Carney government launched its latest attack on free speech online. They call it stopping “harmful” content. I call it censorship.
Bill C-34 creates a new bureaucracy: the Digital Safety Commission of Canada. Its job will be to police what you say and read online.
Under the guise of “protecting children,” this bill forces social media platforms and AI companies to mitigate exposure to "hate speech.”
A “hate speech ” is a “content that expresses detestation or vilification” of an individual or group of individuals based on prohibited grounds of discrimination.
But, courts have always required that "hatred" be extreme to be a crime. This new definition does not include the term "extreme," contrary to case law.
The government therefore broadens the definition of "hatred.”
Furthermore, the concept of "hate" will no longer be decided by judges. This decision will be made by unelected bureaucrats and scared tech employees facing $10 million fines.
Social media companies and AI companies concerned about facing fines will likely err on the side of censoring more expression by blocking it or filtering it out.
Most shockingly, the bill would censor the output of artificial intelligence like ChatGPT to ensure they don’t give “harmful” answers on sensitive topics.
This will result in AI that refuse to give honest answers on unpopular viewpoints. And a sanitized internet where people cannot have difficult conversations and debates on subjects not politically correct, like it happened during the COVID hysteria.
To keep kids under 16 off social media, the bill would force platforms to verify your age. This could involve requiring all adults to present a driver's license to create an account.
Let me be clear: the People’s Party of Canada will always support protecting children from real harm.
But “safety” does not mean censorship. This is not a child safety bill. It is a bill of control and censorship.
A free and democratic society protects speech that is distasteful, unpopular, or contrary to the mainstream. Without that, democracy dies.
We will not trade liberty for the illusion of safety. We will not let Ottawa become the online speech police.
One of the laziest arguments against Restore Britain is that we’re ‘splitting the vote’.
I entirely disagree. Voters are not the property of Farage or Reform.
Votes are earned. Not owned.
If people are leaving Reform and backing Restore Britain instead, that is not because we stole them.
It is because Reform failed to keep them.
That is politics.
And frankly, the argument itself reveals a deeply arrogant mindset...
The belief that millions of patriotic British people should simply fall into line blindly behind one party regardless of performance, principles or behaviour.
It treats men and women like children. It’s patronising, and the British people deserve better.
We’re all big enough and ugly enough to make our own minds up. And actually, in such a volatile electoral system - anything can happen. As we saw in Norfolk. When people voted for real change, they got it.
In Great Yarmouth, when it was apparent that we were going to win, I don’t remember Reform standing down any candidates. In fact, they threw more and more at the campaign in order to beat us - drafting in councillors from across the country.
The Tories accused Reform of splitting the vote at the last general, and they were rightly ignored. Look at how that has turned out. We now intend to do exactly the same, and more.
Restore Britain exists because huge numbers of people now believe Britain requires something more serious, more disciplined, more radical and more honest than what currently exists.
If Reform want those voters back, they are welcome to persuade them.
In the meantime, we are going to continue making our positive case.
If Brits don’t agree, they won’t vote for us. That’s fine. I don’t mind. But millions do, and millions will.
Great Yarmouth proved the model - we battered Reform.
If enough people vote for real change, they get it.
This video should be broadcast 24/7. The Muslim Brotherhood leader explains in his own words that, after 700 years of failed attempts to conquer Europe by force, they are now conquering it peacefully with the help of naive Western governments. The EU's weak and corrupt politicians have caused a disaster of biblical proportions. This won't end well.
🚨👀 Carney pitched investors on using government policy to force profits for Brookfield.
Then he became Prime Minister.
Listen to what he says about their investment in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF):
Interviewer: "You raised the capital… but the investment only works if government policy forces the demand. So are you going to go back to the public sector to drive that policy?"
Carney: "I'm already advising governments… pro bono."
Then, seconds later:
"We Brookfield put a billion dollars to work there… the policy has to drive it."
He was explaining how Brookfield's $2.1 billion investment in sustainable aviation fuel companies guarantees profits.
How? The government simply forces airlines to buy the fuel — a fuel that costs 5 to 10 times more than regular jet fuel. Airlines would never buy it voluntarily.
He's done this before. While advising the British government on its National Wealth Fund task force, the UK SAF mandate — the exact type of policy he was pitching investors on — came into force in January 2025, three months after the Prime Quadrant pitch. British Airways signed a 10-year offtake deal with the Brookfield-backed company that same year.
The government Carney was advising at that exact moment? Justin Trudeau's.
He remained Chair of Brookfield Asset Management until January 16, 2025 — the same day he announced he was running for office. 👀
Nine months later, Brookfield closed the largest private energy transition fund in history at a record $23.5 billion.
And there are no limits to what he's willing to do to protect it.
When Air Canada's CEO Michael Rousseau publicly resisted the mandates — asking for time, asking for domestic supply, doing his job — Carney got rid of him in the most calculated way imaginable.
Two pilots tragically died at LaGuardia. Rousseau posted a condolence video in English.
The Prime Minister of Canada — the first PM in 50 years who cannot speak French fluently, the first in modern history with no French speechwriter in his office — called it a "lack of compassion."
He demanded the next CEO be bilingual.
He said it in English.
One week later, the most successful airline CEO in modern Canadian history was gone.
The replacement criteria? Bilingual. And committed to "sustainability goals."
Mark Carney didn't become Prime Minister to serve Canada. He became Prime Minister to protect Brookfield's investments.
This is not liberal vs conservative. This is about a Prime Minister who puts the interests of his company above those of Canadians. 🇨🇦

Jason, you’ve been on this longer than most, but don’t you think it’s time ALL Canadians to be looped in? 👀
Let me break this down in plain English so EVERYONE can understand what’s happening to their money 🇨🇦
Here are the bills being passed by your government — and what in means for you:
📜 Bill S-206 — a national framework for Universal Basic Income for every Canadian over 17.
The Parliamentary Budget Officer estimates the gross cost: $107 billion.
Canada's total federal liabilities are already at $2.182 trillion. Per-person federal debt: $56,432.
Canada's finances have deteriorated faster than any other G7 country.
So where does the money come from?
📜 Bill C-15 gives the Bank of Canada regulatory control over every stablecoin issuer in the country.
📜 Bill C-22 forces telecom and internet providers to store metadata on every Canadian for up to a year. No warrant required.
📜 Bill C-8 lets a single minister cut off your phone and internet — no judge, no trial, no notice.
Digital money + digital surveillance + digital kill switch.
Three separate bills. One architecture.
🇨🇦 And the man pushing all of it through Parliament will personally choose the next Governor General — the only person who signs these bills into law.

Last week in Montreal, the Liberal Party of Canada passed a resolution setting the legal age for access to social media for Canadians at 16.
For now, this is a non-binding resolution.
But make no mistake. Mark Carney has already stated that a "social media age of majority is under consideration" as part of his government's online harms legislation.
These same Liberals who are currently defending Bill C-8, a veritable "digital guillotine", allowing Ottawa to cut off your Internet access without a warrant or trial; now want to decide at what age your children are mature enough to speak online.
This is not about protecting children, but rather about control.
The Liberals' plan to force tech companies to verify the age of every Canadian user means: mass surveillance, mass data collection, and the end of online privacy.
They want to force you to provide official identification simply to open a social media account.
They want to create a national database cataloguing every Canadian's digital identity.
And they want the government, not parents, to decide what your children can see, say, and do online.
We don't want an authoritarian and paternalistic state.
We will never support an age restriction on access to social media.
It is important to understand that the Criminal Code contains several clauses prohibiting harming children online.
Perhaps more resources need to be allocated to law enforcement to enforce the criminal code and protect children.
We do not need more laws. Furthermore, while the Criminal Code can deter and punish those who harm children online, no law can effectively replace the attention, guidance, and supervision of parents.
Parents are their children's first line of defense. They have the right and the duty to protect them by putting safeguards in place regarding their access to the Internet, including social media.
At the People's Party of Canada, we believe in a very simple principle: PARENTS raise children. That is not the role of governments.
The solution to online harms is not a blanket government ban that punishes all young people.
The solution lies in parental responsibility, digital literacy, and holding big tech accountable, not in giving Ottawa more power to spy on Canadians.
The UK already figured this out 👀
The Telegraph called him the "reverse Midas touch."
UK inflation hit 11.1% after his tenure. France hit 5.2%. Italy hit 8%.
He left England. Came home. And did the same thing to Canada 📄
Since he became governor of the Banks of Canada in 2009 —
Canadian dollar lost 30% of its value. Groceries up 25%. Rent doubled. Household debt hit $1.75 for every dollar earned — the worst in the G7.
Same playbook. Different country.

This post barely scratches the surface.
Let me break this down so every single Canadian understands what’s happening to your money right now.
Your Prime Minister is a former central banker.
He ran the Bank of Canada.
He ran the Bank of England.
He co-founded the global framework directing $130 TRILLION toward a new financial system.
And right now, he is quietly building the infrastructure to replace how your money works — permanently.
Here’s the full picture:

🚨 THIS IS DEVASTATING
There's slave labour in Canada RIGHT NOW.
And it's by design.
The PRIME MINISTER and Brookfield are at the centre of it all.
This is going to be a long thread, but EVERYONE needs to see this.
These connections might (will) trigger you.
Take a seat.
The NDP was once about workers, fairness, and putting Canadians first.
Now it’s just another arm of the uniparty—pushing division, identity politics, and the same tired globalist agenda.
While they argue over made-up issues, Canadians are struggling with rising costs, broken systems, and a country losing its direction.
The PPC is filling that void.
✔️ Pro-worker
✔️ Anti–foreign wars
✔️ Against corporate protectionism driving up prices
✔️ Putting Canadians first

Every single monster involved in this needs to be put on trial and face justice.
Here is a graphic showing who was behind it 😡
From judges, to courts, to doctors, to government officials, to “humans rights” organizations, THEY ALL FAILED HER.
In a new column published in the New Westminster Times (@NewWestTimes), John Carpay explains that fear-driven messaging led Canadians to accept sweeping violations of Charter freedoms. Governments relied on exaggerated models, media amplified panic, and courts often deferred rather than scrutinized evidence.

The intellectual elite and establishment politicians want to condemn people with mental illness to death instead of providing them with real help.
How have we lost all sense of morality?
This isn't compassion. It's a failing healthcare system that's giving up. It's easier to prescribe death than to help the most vulnerable.
We tell vulnerable people that their lives aren't worth living. Only a sick society eliminates people with mental illness.
