@Jonathan_H07@hitchiete21@Trey_Explainer@cannab1senjoyer@Goldrushcomic i agree. unfortunately the church won’t allow it. while i believe the carbon dating is enough to convince me, i understand your doubt. we just disagree, but im glad we can find common ground in wanting more tests. i enjoyed the debate
@Jonathan_H07@hitchiete21@Trey_Explainer@cannab1senjoyer@Goldrushcomic could have and was are different things. there’s no evidence to suggest it was repaired. the earth could be flat, but there’s no evidence to suggest it is. carbon dating dates the shroud to around the time of discovery. source for carbon dating MOE:

@Jonathan_H07@hitchiete21@Trey_Explainer@cannab1senjoyer@Goldrushcomic meaning the test was verified and reverified. that’s the scientific process. carbon dating has a margin of error of 100 years, and that’s mainly for older samples. the newer the sample the more accurate the dating. these tests more likely had a margin of 50 years.
@Jonathan_H07@hitchiete21@Trey_Explainer@cannab1senjoyer@Goldrushcomic the newer tests you refer to is x-ray dating that measures degradation. x-ray dating works on the inference of storage history, which we don’t know. x-ray dating is less accurate than carbon dating, and is unverified by other experiments. the carbon dating had 3 separate studies
@Jonathan_H07@hitchiete21@Trey_Explainer@cannab1senjoyer@Goldrushcomic the carbon dating dates the shroud to the 13th century, the first recorded repair was done in the 16th century after it was damaged by fire. there’s no evidence or proof that it was repaired before then. 3 separate carbon dating test gave similar results. it’s debunked
@noglie@Pazworth312@Hoopss jordan is a better scorer, jok has identical assist averages and is an auto triple double, Ant, Jordan, and Wemby are defensive anchors on the court and curry shoots better than bron. Bron is great all around, but everyone else has more specialty
