We've collected $125K in the last 12 days (ACH not shown) running Meta ads for local contractors. It's the lowest-hanging fruit in marketing right now.
Meta delivers extremely low CPLs. Weeding those leads out and handing the contractor only the good ones is your job as the agency. We added a pre-qualification step before a lead ever hits the contractor's phone. That one change is most of why this screenshot exists.
30-day review call.
Marketing manager wants to pause campaigns because of “seasonality.”
Busy season is slowing down. Fair assumption from the last few years.
Then we look at MTD numbers.
Blended CPL: $40 across 4 campaign/service areas.
Campaigns stay on.
Data > assumptions.
@TheJoshBeal@Sachinpranav4 For sure
META leads close at a lower rate more often than not. But if your close rate is even 20-25% on booked appt the economics are definitely in your favor with CPLs that low and booking rates in a decent range.
Any company with decent closers will kill it.
We’re getting pre-qualified leads for $10.04 on Meta right now.
That’s not a typo.
Columbus Market.
10 days in
$411.44 spent
41 leads
One of our PE clients wanted to test this market before diving in deep.
Safe to say it’s time to dominate.
@Sachinpranav4 It’s easy to get home service leads for $10? Come run ads for us if that’s the case.
We have a call Friday to go over early data. Their 3 other locations typically book appts around 60-70%. Factoring in cancellations they’ll probably be in 20+ driveways on $411 spend.
90 Day client review call this AM:
Waterproofing client in NJ
9k in ad spend
179k in collected revenue
but facebook ads "suck"
you would be insane not to run them as a local service business
Just had a client of over a year tell me he hired our competitor to “test” a new market.
Same pricing. Ads that look almost identical to ours. Same niches. ( i almost wonder if a former employee we parted ways with works with them now )
Then he said: “You guys are way better. We’re getting a 25x ROAS with you so it’s not even close.”
Asked why he didn’t just have us expand first.
“Curiosity. Seeing if he can do better.”
Saturated agency market. Everyone’s throwing offers. Even when you’re actually killing it, some owners still want to poke the other option.
He ended the call with: “Give me an hour. I want to give you guys a video testimonial.”
Results still win. Curiosity just delays the obvious.
I truly don’t think there’s a better marketing avenue right now for a local small business.
Decent creatives and a strategy to qualify leads will print money on Facebook right now.
Local business owners, I have two words: Facebook ads
If you're a local business, a dry cleaner, a a barber, a restaurant, my favorite thing in the world right now is Facebook ads in a 10-mile radius.
@danielfazio Our guarantee comes with a lot of stipulations. We normally down sell that offer on the call by just showing a bunch of recent client results.
I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.
@irentdumpsters Agreed. Very important to permanently own space on Google Maps.
However, paid ads can generate 5-10 leads a few hours after launch. Whereas with organic it can take a while.
Combining both is when things accelerate.
We generated 9 pre-qualified leads today for a client.
Our internal notification system shows there has been no action taken on any of them.
Most local contractors don’t have a system in place to contact leads after hours, on weekends, or on holidays.
Big miss
