Labour promised to cut energy bills by £300 a year. It was bullshit. Energy bills continue to rise. A massive rise is due in July. For 18 months, Ed Miliband has continued to talk complete gibberish about this.
Taxes
OH …UNITED KINGDOM
This is very interesting.
If I give you £1 billion and you stand on a street corner handing out £1 per second, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, you would still not have handed out £1 billion after 31 years!
Now read on. This is true and rather hard to really understand.
The next time you hear a politician use the word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about whether you want the 'politicians' spending YOUR tax money.
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of its releases.
1. A billion seconds ago, it was 1959.
2. A billion minutes ago, Jesus was alive.
3. A billion hours ago, our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.
4. A billion days ago, no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
5. A billion Pounds ago was only 13 hours and 12 minutes, at the rate our present government is spending it.

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 60 years ago, and our nation was one of the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt.
We had the largest middle class in the world. A criminal’s life was uncomfortable. What on earth happened?
I leave #Africa with an immeasurable treasure of faith, hope, and charity. This treasure consists of stories, faces, and testimonies, both joyful and sorrowful, which will greatly enrich my life and ministry as the Successor of Peter.
As in the early centuries of the Church, Africa is now called to make a decisive contribution to the holiness and missionary character of the Christian people. #ApostolicJourney
A final piece of advice from Holly Butcher - written the day before she passed away from cancer at just 27:
“It’s a strange thing knowing you’re going to die young.
At 26, I thought I had time…
To fall in love.
Start a family.
Grow old.
But cancer doesn’t care about plans.
Now, I understand how fragile life really is. Every single day is a gift, not a guarantee.
I’m not writing this to scare you. I’m writing to remind you: really live.
Stop stressing over little things. Be kind to your body- move it, nourish it, stop criticizing it. One day you’ll wish you had appreciated it.
Go outside.
Look at the sky.
Feel the sun.
Just be.
Spend less time chasing “stuff” - more time making memories. Don’t skip moments with people you love.
Laugh more.
Write a note.
Tell someone you love them.
Complain less.
Give more.
Helping others brings more joy than anything you can buy.
Be present.
Put your phone down.
Show up - really show up.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You don’t need a perfect body, or a perfect life.
Just follow what makes your heart light up. Say no to what drains you. Make changes when you need to.
And please - donate blood. I wouldn’t have had that extra year without it. And that year gave me memories I’ll hold close… forever.
Thank you for reading this.
Live your life well.
And maybe… we’ll meet again someday.”

🇮🇪 Irish politician Ken O’Flynn just went NUCLEAR on the Irish Government:
“You blame Trump for everything, but he doesn’t run this Country. YOU introduced the Carbon Tax. YOU turned the Army on the people. If any of you have a backbone, vote to collapse this Government.”
🔥🔥
So the Irish Embassy here in Budapest has decided to "Warn" it's citizens that trouble is on the way in the aftermath of the elections on Sunday.
Riddle me this-
Who told them this? And why would there be "trouble" anyway?
🚨 Konstantin Kisin DESTROYS Labour’s Net Zero Fantasy On BBC Question Time
“If we reduce carbon emissions to zero and destroy our economy even more than we already have, we will reduce global carbon emissions by 1%.”
“We have the highest industrial electricity prices in the developed world.”
“Net Zero is industrial suicide.”
Trump completely betrayed the blue collar guys with Iran.
What has this cost the average guy. Gas? Shipping? Inflation?
1000 to 2000? How much more by the time this is done? Rich get richer and poor get poorer.
Complete betrayal...
Massive spiritual rebuke. Pope Leo declares that Christ continues to suffer today through the innocent victims of endless wars. He issues a powerful call to all Christians to completely reject the path of hatred and become active bearers of peace.
Pope Leo (Voiceover): I think it will be an important sign because for what the Pope represents, the spiritual leader today in the world, and for this voice that everyone wants to hear, to say Christ still suffers, and I carry all this suffering also in my prayer. And I would like to invite all people of good will, people of faith, all Christians to walk together, to walk with Christ who suffered for us to give us salvation, life, and to seek how we too can be bearers of peace and not of hatred.
I am so pissed off, working my arse off all week (and my husband) to survive, bills through the roof diesel through the roof taxes through the roof 🤬 watching corrupt governments bleed us dry to pay for illegals and benefits 🤬 I’m so exhausted I just want things to get better 😔
The government’s big answer to sky-high fuel prices 🚀
An app that shows one local garage selling petrol at £1.55 a litre… and the other at £1.56 🤦🏼♂️
Truly world-class leadership. What a useless bunch of idiots 🎪
I'm self employed.
I've just worked out that I have to charge my customers over £900 per week in order to take home the equivalent yearly wage of someone on the new national minimum wage.
So I need to charge over £1,000 per week to be £100 better off than a minimum wage earner.
I have 12 individual costs associated with running my one man band business. No holiday pay. No money if I'm off work due to illness or anything else.
And this doesn't even take into consideration all the time spent on visiting new customers, pricing work, producing quotes etc, some of which is a complete waste of time when you don't get the work. All time that can't be charged for.
This is why, for many self employed people, it's just not worth it any more.
I've been self employed for 30 years and it's never been this bad.
