There are examples in every field of people consistently putting in the work for years before becoming an overnight success. Simply by showing up, working hard & engaging in consistent action over time you can reach the upper echelons of your chosen field.

Big Shifts or Overnight Success don't happen the way we hope/expect they do. Our brains love linear things but success in almost any field of life is exponential not linear. There will be a feeling of its not working at the start but stay consistent and the results will follow.

@PrefShares @chiwizardry Fair point but I think there may be a point in time which investing in no growth Europe at a PE of 10 say is better than investing in the US with a higher growth rate of 25x say. Obviously depends on your strategy but even look at Buffetts recent Japan investment.

@PrefShares True but personally I would rather invest in a company (no matter where the headquarters are) in a company that is alligned with shareholders long term not one that pumps up the stock with buybacks. EPS isn't always representative of business performance.

@PrefShares Maybe true but EPS can and is being financially engineered especially in the US. Compare corporate profits I would think they would both have similar growth trends then.

This photo makes me feel physically sick as this was my stepdad's car after the car crash that killed both him and my mum. People need to realise the real damage that driving recklessly can do. I still see people making stupid decisions when driving. Think before it's too late!!
