When I covered Opening Day @DelMarRacing this year with @SJBray I hoped this announcement would be happening. Personally, I’m immeasurably excited to be back for the Pacific Classic this year, but can’t stop thinking about what the Future Media landscape for Horse Racing will & CAN look like.
Next Summer it will be the greatest block of Television showcasing Horse Racing we’ve ever seen. Complete on-site @Saratoga1863 coverage leading into Complete on-site Del Mar coverage on @FOXSports This cornerstone TV programming will take the best of our Sport across all New Media platforms too. This has never happened before, and it’s happening because the Industry is coming together to solve the void of TVG/@FanDuel TV going away. This deal doesn’t happen without leaders from many organizations stepping up to combine ideas and resources. Great credit to David O’Rourke @TheNYRA , Josh Rubinstein @DelMarRacing and Gary Fenton @toc_racing for not waiting and taking on this issue with the immediacy it requires.
Above all, the biggest and most important Thank You is to YOU. This Sport and the Media coverage of it only exists because of you.
Hopefully, this is just the beginning of many more announcements like this. Out of jarring change something even better can arise, that’s my hope for the Future. As for now, this current announcement makes me think about Chris Stapleton’s lyrics from his song ‘Starting Over’: “Well, the road rolls out like a welcome mat
to a better place than the one we're at…But nobody wins, afraid of losing.
And the hard roads are the ones worth choosing. Someday we'll look back and smile, And know it was worth every mile.” 🤓
It was a valiant effort from Daniel Briere.
But teams that rebuild properly for top-5 picks and avoid reaches for their other 1st round picks don’t need nuclear offer sheets to acquire a 1C.
I’m assuming that’s it for any big swings in the summer of 2026…need the young guys to take a step forward next season.

The GOAT 🐐 Stevie Niles from behind the scenes in the studio since DAY 1! God Bless all these amazing men & women that brought horse racing into your home every single day for over 25 years. What a team to be a part of. 🙏🏻
The foal in this video is Quite Like Me, a 4 year old mare that was lost in the tragic fire this morning at Saratoga. She was bred by my longtime best friend and her family. Her dam was bred by them as well and was raised as an orphan by them after losing her mother. She was third generation on their farm. They sold her as they were moving out of the business and just wanted to see her race and go out and do the great things they believed she could do.
I just want everyone posting conspiracy theories, placing blame, or taking time to bash the industry to just take a second and remember that the horses lost are what matters right now and the people that were part of their lives are suffering too. @RBeaulieuRacing
This is great news. I will return to betting on @TheNYRA circuit which will prob replace 5% of the handle they lost. I’m happy to get smoked as long as it’s fair and square.
Fanduel CEO Amy Howe, who recently pulled the plug on the company’s horse racing network, has been fired. Can we please revisit that decision to end FanDuel Racing and put 150-plus people out of work? https://t.co/yYZ9LODwbB
Thread of the @AppBaseball season to date:
App State started the year 7-1 and is 14-4 in its last 18.
In between, a tough 5-11 stretch over a month (Feb. 27-March 27) included 7 different one-run losses. Just painful stuff ⤵️
Connor Hellebuyck:
Never played Tier 1.
Never played in The Brick.
Never played Quebec PW.
Never made a Development Camp.
Did play HS hockey.
Did play NAHL.
Did play NCAA D1.
Did win a Vezina.
Did win Olympic gold.
And yet we’ve got parents stressing over which 8U team
