Brody Marshall (‘29, WI) with his other base knock on the day. Here’s his swing once again— doing a job. Aggressive move to it with fast hands and good strength off the barrel. Hammered it. @PG_WiscMinn #MidwestWS

Otis Hellman, a true example of a selfless, caring, “put others before yourself” kind of person. Your work ethic, your love for the Cubs, your warm and caring attitude to all will truly be missed. Love and prayers to his family and all who loved him. ❤️🙏🏼

[Chicago Cubs @Cubs]

The Cubs mourn the passing of Tom “Otis” Hellmann, a fixture in our organization for 41 seasons.

Otis served as the Home Clubhouse Manager for 23 years before being named Home Clubhouse Manager Emeritus in 2023. Otis’ tireless effort, selflessness and dedication to his job showed on the field among the countless players and coaches who have proudly represented the Cubs through the years.

With 50 years served in baseball, he will be missed deeply within our organization and far beyond it.
