I am offering a blanket apology to anyone I was rude to.
I recognize I have sometimes been rude and dismissive to people in the communities I am active in. Even arrogant at times.
I realized recently through therapy and over a year-long sabbatical that I have some obsessive-compulsive personality traits as well as anxiety and perfectionism that have led me to sometimes comport myself in ways that irritate other people and have not taken into account other people's feelings.
I have been in a kind of "survival mode" frequently, and did not always handle criticism well.
I apologize.
In the way of explanation but not excuse-making, I recently also recognized that the first 9 years of my childhood I experienced a lot of neglect. My dad was absent and my mom had a lot of her own issues and was frequently hospitalized.
And in the second 9 years, I experienced rather extreme physical and emotional abuse, due to a narcissistic father who was a violent drunk (who was also raised by a violent drunk!).
I always thought my childhood didn't impact me. I was blind to it. I can see now it had an enormous impact on me.
So, in any case, there it is. I can't recommend therapy highly enough, as it has helped me see some new blind spots and is indispensable if you are, like me, a person who wants to fully realize yourself and be the absolute best leader, father and builder you can be.
@GrudenDon@redrock_bball I just dropped Fultz for Goodwin in a 12 team Cat. Thought I could get two solid games from the latter when the former’s stats aren’t super amazing. Suggs coming back soon too and I need wins. If I didn’t need Ws, prob wouldn’t of done it.
