With doctors more overworked than ever, we need tools that directly connect them to their patients and give them the data they need to provide high-quality care. #Innovation#HealthcareNews#Telehealth
#Diabetes is closely related to other conditions. While not for everyone, many stress-relieving activities can reduce tension in the body and show positive results for patients suffering from other health conditions. #DiabetesResearch#HealthcareNews https://t.co/moxtAuTKzp
This is amazing news! This molecular mechanism discovered by researchers can allow for better β cell health and regeneration. These cells relate to insulin production, and so understanding them can help treat #diabetes. #Innovation#HealthcareNews https://t.co/pr6FFQp3iY
Tools that provide doctors with patient #data and can notify people of their current insulin levels are transformative for #diabetes patients. However, it's important to remember we are still early in this space when it comes to this developing technology. #Healthcare#Telehealth
A new meta-meta-analysis of cohort studies found low- and no-calorie sweetened beverages used as replacement strategy for sugar-sweetened beverages are associated with lower obesity, heart disease and death, comparable to water. Read Open Access article ➡️https://t.co/HAqzHacQda
This new study links #diabetes and other #MentalHealth issues. Mental and physical health are not two separate things; rather, they inform each other. Healthcare should provide holistic support for patients. #DiabetesResearch#HealthcareNews https://t.co/9WpUkBFBsA
#DiabetesResearch has come such a long way in the last 30 years. Medical implants that digitally analyze and compensate for #InsulinProduction would have been inconceivable in the early 90s but are commonplace today. #Innovation#HealthcareNews https://t.co/cqGenLCWx6
One of the most significant factors affecting patient decisions regarding the type of #healthcare they receive is regular communication with their doctors. When the user experience provides patients with communication will be more likely to sign up for #telehealth platforms.
Many patients need regular check-ins, which can be more difficult if #healthcare is only provided through in-person visits, so this should be encouraging for #telehealth providers that they are on the right track when supporting patients with their needs. https://t.co/eXRCfWOPXN
Oral Semaglutide is a drug that could help patients living with type 2 diabetes by adjusting the body’s production of Glycated haemoglobin. As more researchers study this further this could one day become a regular treatment for diabetes patients! #DiabetesResearch#Innovation
New diabetes clinical trial: A Research Study Looking at How Oral Semaglutide Works in People With Type 2 Diabetes in Germany, as Part of Local Clinical Practice https://t.co/Gf1t1vT3Xm
This experimental drug can restore insulin-producing cells in patients that need it. We learn more about #diabetes daily, bringing us closer to innovative treatments to provide patients with the care they deserve. #Innovation#HealthcareNews https://t.co/YczsGJN59V
@EvanKirstel Thanks Evan! The more we learn about diabetes the better we understand how interrelated it is to a number of other health conditions. Vitamin D is good for you in more ways than one!
@ChrisPalmerMD Thank you for sharing this research, Dr Palmer! We are learning much about the connection between diabetes and other mental health conditions. Physical and psychological health are not as separate as people might think.
@mcscary Thanks for sharing this data, Mike! Increased patient attendance for conditions that require monitoring, such as diabetes, is a huge reason for a telehealth push.
@pedspulmmike Thank you for sharing this, Mike! When telehealth was adopted out of necessity, there were several issues developers had to grapple with. As we head into the future of digital health, however, user experience should be at the forefront of developers' minds.
@dlambrecht77 Thanks for sharing this article, Dimitri! When patients can get the support they need with discreet monitoring devices providing data to their doctors, they can feel even more supported than they would be with traditional healthcare practices.
@AMSchmidt_NYU Thank you for sharing this! Studies like these can pave the way for better medical devices to help patients with diabetes regulate insulin.
