COACH NOTES: It’s not that there aren’t 10+ “Coaching Points” you could make at any moment. You could, but don’t. Children do not learn that way. I’ve been there, done that, and ditched it. Consider silence a platform for observation. #TOVO

Coaches: do you warm up the attention of your players. How?

-ask players to start with a visualization task - "What does a great session look like today?"
-then make your 1st activity fun
-incorporate scanning into that fun activity
-make sure communication is involved

Why do we say: "I'm putting on a coaching session" and never "I'm putting on a learning session"? Coaching and learning may very well be two sides of the same coin...but coaches too often zero in on the coaching side and not the learning. Coaches are facilitators of learning!
