**PSA** Looks like Spring will be escorting Summer in with a BANG. The National Weather Service is predicting a long period of EXTREMELY HIGH temperatures with very high heat indexes from Tuesday through at least Friday this week. Heat indexes could reach 105 to 110 degrees. I’ve included some basic reminders on how to keep yourself safe during these extremes. Please remember to check on your elderly and vulnerable neighbors and never forget our pets. My staff will be working through this heat wave to keep you safe and informed. Our Emergency Management Unit will be providing important updates on forecasts, cooling centers and power outages if they occur. EMS and Law Enforcement be checking on our highest priority functional needs, and responding to calls for service which always increase during these periods. I will share any relevant information on my social media. Stay safe and stay cool.
