People wonder why many U.S. Senators keep running for re-election into their 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. This is why — setting up their families with generational wealth.
They don't want people to figure out that if they just get off their arse they can fix their own community in 2 weeks. They want you to keep paying them taxes so they can fix your community for you. In 3 years. Maybe. Probably not.
I've dealt with a lot of injuries in my time in Jiu-Jitsu, pretty much everywhere on my body.
Ribs, back, both shoulders, both elbows, knees, ankles, hips, neck, toes, and fingers. It's a physical sport, and injuries do happen.
A lot of times, people talk about how, after an injury, they want to "get back to where they were".
I think this is the wrong way to think about it.
The harsh reality is that if you deal with a significant injury, getting back to where you were might be impossible. Knees, shoulders, and backs, I've found at least, are never really "the same" when you injure them severely.
But instead of trying to get back to where we were, it's better to try to adapt to our new limitations and build new ways that we can still accomplish our goals without re-injuring ourselves. To adapt to your environment.
Stop trying to get back to where you were and start adapting to be better than you were.
RO KHANNA: “Let me be clear, Netanyahu is the one that actually told members of congress to add section 224 (merging the U.S. and Israeli militaries) into the bill.”
Khanna says the quiet part out loud. Our elected officials are subservient to a foreign nation. We are Occupied.
@MMACHICK_ Only defense I can think of to counter that (besides breaking song’s grip) would be to roll to your back and even then if you get out you’re stuck in bottom mount after almost getting choked unconscious with someone raining shots down on you.
Deep inner suffering inevitably arises when the human person is reduced to performance, consumption, or a statistical datum. Many young people today live under the yoke of expectations to perform, immersed in an exasperated competitiveness that generates anxiety, fear of not measuring up, and disorientation.
I did not see this coming, but my election has become an inflection point for our whole country. Today we make history.
Will you be part of this historic day by voting, calling friends who can vote, posting to social media, or making a donation?
Spread the word fellow patriots!
If you don’t have contempt for the whole political class (minus one or two outliers) at this point you’re a propagandized smooth brain. Fuck these people.
